# Natural Sciences Museum Roman

Founded in 1962 by teacher and curator Constantin Tărăbuță, the museum has been housed since 2011 in a modern building in the Municipal Park.

Founded in 1962 by teacher and curator Constantin Tărăbuță, the museum has been housed since 2011 in a modern building in the Municipal Park. The permanent exhibition presents the flora and fauna of the Roman area at the Moldova–Siret confluence through dioramas and habitat groups. The collection exceeds 30,000 items: herbaria, insect and mollusc collections and mounted birds and mammals. It regularly hosts temporary exhibitions and museum-education workshops.
